Skylarks Reviews

Yasmin
Nice lodge with good facilities in a nice environment setting. The owner needs to carry out maintenance on worn out basics. The two toilet seats both loose, no chain on bath plug so can't get it out from plug hole. Basin sink plug system kept jamming then jammed making sink unusable. Toilet flush kept jamming then broke all with no force normal use. Front door locked when it worked properly needs replacing worn out so security an issue. Things that should work and not have to worry about while staying in the property on holiday.
We have stayed at other lodges on this park and this is the best yet for quality and equipment. Sadly, and it may have been down to the hot, dry season but there was a very strong odour from the septic facilities wafting across the deck all week which was most unpleasant and stopped us spending more time outdoors. The hot tub seemed a bit worn and could have done with a good wash over as both tub and cover quite dusty and headrest kept falling off. Inside was all very clean and comfortable a broom would be good to have. The twin room was not the most practical as it had a door or window on each wall meaning you couldn't have bedside tables OK for kids but not so good for adults. We noted a few points for the maintenance staff on departure like the extractor fan not working in the bathroom and the pop up waste sticking down, the front door lock difficult but otherwise a really nice lodge.
Nice quiet site, well maintained, very peaceful. Lodge was well equipped and very comfortable.
This is more or less what I wrote in the guest book at the lodge . Having spent the previous week on a boat on the Norfolk broads where conditions were somewhat cramped it was an absolute delight to go to such an immaculate cottage. We were very impressed with its quality and design and would ,like to thank the owners for fa cilitating such an enjoyable short stay.
We were very pleased with the lodge. Excellent furnishings, comfortable and very well equipped. The hot tub was always lovely and hot and ready to use. Would certainly recommend to anybody.
Michael
Very happy with the lodge. Extremely well appointed and maintained.Felt very welcoming.Site was lovely and quiet.Hot tub excellent ,good positioning for visiting all attractions around the area.Highly recommended to those who want the above.
We will never be returning. We have been charged 85 for apparently leaving the hot tub in a bad state. Pictures were provided which do not show any damage at all they are just pictures of the filter which should clean the hot tub. There was also a 2 hour power cut which surprise surprise was failed to mention. Never returning and will be going to press and social media on this.
Lovely quiet place to stay for a relaxing break
Belinda
We really enjoyed our stay, the lodge is very tastefully docorated, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and early evening sun on the decking. The setting is very peaceful yet close enough to walk into Bury St Edmonds which is a really nice place. The check in and out was very easy and we appreciated the bottle of wine on arrival. We would cetainly recommend this lodge and would visit again.
Andrea
Such a well equipped and beautifully furnished lodge it was just what we needed for a weeks escape. Very comfortable and the hot tub was great! We didnt venture out that much as our plan was for rest and relaxation and the park did feel lovely and secluded. There isnt anything else on the park other than lodges which suited us for the week but plenty of places you can get to if you needwant to.
What a lovely lodge to relax in, has everything you needed for cooking . would benefit from having a few more plates knives & forks if not eating out all the time . Beds very comfortable. Hot tub was a treat . 10mins drive to Bury St Edmunds town centre.

The floors are very dusty my socks would literally collect all the dust and the pillows in the lounge area are dusty as when I patted them so much dust came out they need to be cleaned as it trigged allergies other than this we enjoyed our stay at the lodge

Would 100 go back, enjoyed the place very much. Only downfall was the shower in my room was extremely hot and it seemed the temperature was not changing or working when I was turning it. Other than that I have no complaints I will be going back again and recommending to friends.
