Good location for nearby gardens to visit. Very spacious and well equipped. Good for those of limited mobility or wheelchair users. Friendly staff. Plenty of interesting bird life. Only real negative was we did think we would be able to see the lake from the lodge.

In a fantastic location with great facilities. The lodge was clean and spacious and allowed us to really get away from it all. A very relaxing week.

Absolutely incredible lodge, one of the largest we've ever stayed in. Hot tub was wonderful and very relaxing with a glass of wine or two. Grounds were idyllic, lovely little stream and a waterfall. My dogs loved it there running around the woods and taking a dip in the massive lake. We ventured out a couple of days to the beach, went to Seawick which unfortunately is very run down and wouldn't recommend. Shops within 6 minutes to get groceries, but when you arrive there is a beautiful hamper of goodies to see you through, milk, cheese, wine, tea, coffee etc. Will definitely come again we loved it.

Beautiful setting and overall the lodge was lovely. However a couple of niggly points. The extractor fan in the kitchen wasn’t working and also there were no fans in the bathrooms so obviously there was a lot of condensation. One of the frying pans was very worn and pitted and was not usable I did report these issues whilst we were there. It was ideal for walking our dogs in the grounds and very peaceful most of the time. Unfortunately the people in the next lodge set off a massive box of fireworks NYE and our dogs were shaking in terror and absolutely petrified. We booked this accommodation thinking Rural Retreats would be just that! So we were extremely disappointed. If I knew there was a clause in the booking conditions forbidding fireworks then I would consider returning as we did enjoy the break until NYE.

Great lodge in a great location. The perfect place to really relax and chillout. :)

Lovely holiday accommodation, in a peaceful setting. Well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Plenty of parking and very private. The negatives, poor tv signal (pixilated) ant infestation in main ensuite and a few of the cooking pans could do with replacing. Overall a very nice stay we had and would visit again.

This lodge is one of the loveliest we’ve stayed in , everything was spot on with the cleanliness , comfy beds , hot tub, location , pet friendly , even a welcome basket of goodies , The Swan pub serves lovely food and has a large beer garden and is only 2 minutes away, we loved this lodge that much we’ve already booked for next year.

Amazing long weekend with friends. Great location and really nice accommodation. Really well equipped and we even had a hamper of goodies to enjoy!

Stunning property in a beautiful location. Our second trip to Wakes Hall, this time we stayed in Endymion Lodge. We really liked the open plan living/dining/kitchen area it meant as a family we weren't always off in separate rooms. The bathrooms are clean and luxurious, the hot tub a very special treat! It was maintained every morning which was reassuring. Dog friendly also!

What a place ,so big, hot tub amazing, peaceful beautiful settings wish we had stayed longer we will be going back as soon as possible

Just lovely will be going back also loved hot tub
Verified Guest
It was a lovely lodge, quiet and private. Relaxing in the hot tub in the afternoons. Not far from the nearest town, plenty of walks around the area. The only downside was the towel rail in the bathroom did not work, it was reported on the second day but was never fixed, We were told it had not been working for the last two years, so we had to ask for some more towels as we were unable to dry ours or our swimwear as we used the hot tub everyday. Apart from that we had a lovely few days.
